Dress Your Bump

July 22, 2016

Well here I am, finally at the stage of pregnancy where I start to hate my life. It is no secret to anyone that knows me well… that I don’t like being pregnant. I love babies, but I really think that the fact that humans still have to endure this nonsense is a sure sign that evolution has failed us. I would be happy to lay an egg, and keep it warm for 9 months outside of my body. 😉

Haha! Seriously though I have the hardest time enjoying the bump while it’s around. But as this is my last pregnancy (dear God, please, no more) I’ve been trying really hard to appreciate it this time.

And cute $7 dresses really help.

That’s right I got this at Target for $7. I know, Target rules my life… I swear I don’t even go there that much… Like once every other month. I just always load up on clearance! lol.

It’s been like a million bajillion degrees out lately (as per the usual summer in Florida.) And I’m seriously about to go back to Target and buy this dress in every pattern they offer.

I am #Teamnopants this pregnancy for sure. All the dresses. All the time. I don’t know what it is about baby #3 but I was basically showing before the test turned positive.

We’re also definitely on that PokemonGO life. This kids just think that it’s the most most amazing game ever. Jace has even started watching the original version of the show, conveniently on Netflix right now.

We went to the park the other day and it was basically just Poke-hunting.

BUT back to my dress. I love how the stripes are borderline hurt-you-eyes-confusing, to distract from my  seriously round body. An no I don’t just mean “round belly.” Lucky me, I am swelling this time (like I did terribly with my son) so I am rocking a rounder neck, wrists, ankles, knees…. you name it… and it’s a new sausage-like appendage of mine. I am a sausage person now. #yaypregnancy

This also contributes to my new found dress love, as I have zero tolerance for things pressing on my belly. Previously, I would wear my regular clothes with a belly band until the bitter end of my pregnancies. This time, originally, I swore pants contributed to the nausea (yes, I am aware that that makes virtually no sense…) but neither does my hating coffee. Obviously there’s no rules this time around. haha!

But it’s okay. It will all go back to normal… in the Fall…another reason to eagerly await my favorite season!

And until the cooler and less humid weather graces us, I’ll be looking for more dresses in the clearance section.
