Josh and I don’t get a lot of days off together, so when we do it seems like something EXTRA special. We usually try to do something…even if it is just driving 30 minutes to downtown Sarasota for a change of scenery.
There’s this pretty little park under the bridge where you can watch the sunset or fish and the kids can play. We went there before dinner and Jace was thrilled. Apparently park and then dinner = 4 year old heaven.
Zoey was just excited to have her Daddy spin her around in this teacupy thing. She’s at that age where she still clings, still likes things just a little bit better when mom or dad does them with her. I know it will soon give way to bouts of defiance and independence, so I’m savoring it.
I got to wear one of the cutest skirts ever, which makes me happy. >.< (Target, duh)
The sunset over the water was gorgeous. I’ve lived here for over a decade now and that never changes. Second only to a sunset over the Alps. I’m overdue for one of those. 😉
It was a good day. We ate at Applebees, we have one of those in town but…we couldn’t have seen that sunset at home. 😉 Sometimes a little change of scenery makes all the difference, don’t you think?
