YAY, Preschool Germs.

September 6, 2015

Hello friends.

Yes, I know that you haven’t heard from me all week. That’s because I’m basically over here dying from a cold that my 2 year old brought home with her.

Preschool Germs

Apparently you lose the immunity that you developed in 13 years of public school sometime during adulthood. Who knew, right? -_-

There go all of my plans to do fun things for labor day weekend, as my kids and I have barely changed out of pajamas. I did watch a movie with my hubby though, that was nice.

Jace has only been in VPK for 2 weeks and we’re already all sick. lol! I see good things in store for us with this school thing… ๐Ÿ˜‰ BUT Jace scored so well on his initial tests in VPK that his teacher is going to start teaching him to read! He had his first homework assignment WHICH was pretty adorable, he had to fill out an “All About Me” sheet and bring 5 of his favorite things to class.

Favorite Things Preschool Edition I wish I had taken a pic of the actual sheet he filled out because he wrote all of the answers himself! Proud Momma. He also drew a picture of his family, in which case we consisted of “tummies”ย with smiley faces and ears. HILARIOUS, adorable, and has me seriously considering a diet…pronto. Just kidding. ๐Ÿ˜‰

His other favorite things included; one of his trains, a train track, a book, his “Blue B” (blankie,) and yes, a giant jar of peanut butter. If you know my kid, you know that he is not messin’ around with the PB.

Having sick kids while being sick is you know… super interesting. The babes seem to forget that they’re actually sick periodically throughout the day, only to be reminded by fits of coughing when they get too crazy. Also, when you have to take their blankies away to wash them….yeah, they remember then.

Hope you all are well! <3

I was sick ALL THE TIME when my girls were little. We all caught everything from each other. But now that they’re older (7 and 8), I think their immune systems have built themselves up, and I’ve been exposed to enough “kid germs” that I’ve finally re-built my immunity, too. Now we go long stretches without anyone getting sick. But those early years were brutal as far as sickness was concerned. Hope you’re all feeling better soon!!!

Yeah, I’m NOT looking forward to all of the new germs. I hope we can get our immune systems in check soon. I think I got it worse than they did! lol

I hate when all the kids start bring home germs from school! It is the worst, especially for my baby. Thank you for sharing and I hope everyone is feeling great!
