Annual Christmas Sister Bake-Off!!!

December 23, 2014

The 12 Posts of Christmas Series #8
with The Veronica Blog.

Hello again friends. 🙂

My little Sister, my Sister-in-Love, and I recently had our annual cooking baking EXTRAVAGANZA! Yes… it’s as amazing as it sounds.

We have done it every year since… well…

Since Josh & I had our own little apartment together. And none of us wore make up yet apparently. hahaha. (Try and catch a pic of us bare faced now 😉 )

But it truly has become something that I look forward to every year at Christmas time. I’m not sure why the tradition stuck like it did, but it’s pretty awesome, and I hope we do it forever. I remember the year Jace joined us by sitting in his bouncer chair in the kitchen next to us, or the year that Zoey sat in her exersaucer… it really is crazy how fast the time goes by.

Our baking skills have severely improved with all the practice as well. We learned the hard way that baking powder is NOT an optional ingredient… and now our cookies are quite good if you ask me! I even prefer our homemade Gingerbread men to the box mixed kind!

The kids are big enough to play a pretty active role these days…

I let them stay up until 11 and eat more cookies than I could count…

They fed me more cookies than I could count…

It took hours… but we made DOZENS of cookies. I still have a big bag full. The kids aren’t complaining though.

Christmas will be gone before we know it… 🙁

DO you have any family traditions?!

As usual… make sure you check out The Veronica Blog’s Christmas post! Her son made this adorable ornament. 😉
