Hiya!
My name is Amanda. I’m a working millennial mom who wears many hats, and I’m doing my best to change them gracefully…which is hard. I have blogged off and on for years. It probably has something to do with my love for taking pictures, my natural inclination to be a bold over-sharer, and my inexplicable desire to fill every awkward silence I come across.
On this most recent rendition of my online presence, global circumstances find me mostly locked inside of my house (that always needs cleaned), with my three children (who now require ‘rona-style homeschooling), while working my full time job (#breadwinner.) Basically, I am up to my eyes in overwhelm and I figured what better version of myself to share with the intraweb world!
But in all seriousness, this season has been a game changer. I know that it has been for you, too. I’m aware that “game changer” usually implies some great leap forward, but is there really a word for the havoc reeked by 2020 on working mothers? No? Ok then.
I met my husband, Josh, in high school. Yep. You read that right. We met parenthood early, too. I got pregnant with Jace when I was 19 (Josh was 18. #cougar.) Zoey came shortly after – 2 years and 10 days shortly. Then, when she was 3 years old, I panicked about not feeling sure that I was done having kids, but rushed to decide because I didn’t want this hypothetical third child to have a giant age gap when the other two were so close. So then in 2016, amidst a million other life happenings… I had Grey. He was 9 pounds 8 ounces of pure third-baby-bliss. He had the fattest cheeks, the sweetest smell… and that’s the story of how I never slept again. (Fellow moms – you ever had a bad sleeper? #SOLIDARITY)
Anywhoo… this is my little internet space where you can find find tips on fitness(ish), style, career, and busy, ass-kicking, motherhood.
Welcome to Motherhood + Confetti. Because Motherhood is hard. But Life’s Still a Party.
Cheers,
Amanda
