My Maternity Must-Haves

November 3, 2016

**This post was sponsored by Groupon. As always, all opinions are my own.**

HELLO NOVEMBER!
Of course I am terribly sad that October is over…but quite honestly…I’m ready for it to be even colder! I’m so excited for winter and it’s still in the 70’s most days here in sunny Denver. It’s cool at night but during the day that sun is intense! I was expecting more Chicago-like temps, but so far it’s definitely more like Florida temps. hahaha. Maybe it’s all a hoax and I never actually left. 😉

BUT! My precious Zo turns four this month. AND!

I am DUE in November. That means… #PlanetAmanda no more! Honestly, I wasn’t sure I would make it to November this time. But since I haven’t been working since our move I suddenly feel like this babe is never going to come out. Pretty standard for my pregnancies. All of which have ended with large babies… and none of which have ended with my going into labor naturally. Eye roll. This time I downright refuse to be induced…so I might actually just be pregnant forever. 😉

I am to the point of really not fitting into anything anymore. Even my maternity clothes are fitting my body awkwardly. I’m so ready to be normal shaped again. ALL THE CUTE SEASONAL CLOTHES that I am going to wear here in Colorado. But I have been pondering the small and now-wasted fortune in bathing suits that I have. haha. I suppose I can visit Florida more often than the average Joe…so there’s that.

I was never one who could bring myself to spend a lot of money on a maternity wardrobe. It probably would have been smart to just invest in some good stuff when I was pregnant with Jace and re-wear it for all three babies. But that was not the case. I did not own a single pair of maternity jeans my first two pregnancies, not shorts either. I wore a belly band with my regular pants. HELLO 19+skinny. 26 was a different story. This time I have purchased some maternity clothes. Go figure.

I know that I am down to the bitter end of my pregnancy. But there are a few staples that I would not have been able to do without this entire pregnancy! And I am here to share them with you. Also, how you can save money on these items with Groupon Coupons!  I know that I have mentioned before that I basically pay full price for nothing… like ever. I don’t know why anyone would these days, and Groupon is a great option for saving money on items you would already purchase anyway.

So here’s the list:

  1. A pair of cute + versatile flats
I have two that have been my absolute go-to’s. One pair I got on clearance at Target last year (I know, you’re shocked) for like $7 or something. The other pair are from Sketchers, and they are SO comfy. (Also, you can save money on a pair of your own with a Groupon Coupon right now!) One pair is leopard print, and if you know anything about leopard print…it totally counts as a neutral. The Sketchers are “taupe” AKA “I match everything because I’m actually nude.”

  2. ALL the dresses
I know that I mentioned time and time again #TeamNoPants this pregnancy. I was not having any pressure on my lower belly this time around. I don’t know why…but it just drove me crazy. Dresses were the obvious answer. And as I became rounder and rounder… They were just the obvious fashion choice. Even my maternity jeans were way less tolerable than a cute maternity dress. You can even save on adorable maternity dresses from stores that you love with Groupon Coupons. For example these coupons for Nordstrom!

  3. Solid Colored Tees
Let’s be real. These are a wardrobe staple for all seasons of life. Pregnancy is no different. I went for mostly neutral colors so they would match a variety of the next item on my list!

  4. Cute Sweaters/Jackets/Layers
Even in Florida, I had short sleeved sweater cardigan thingies. Being pregnant makes me feel frumpy, adding layers somehow de-frumps me. Now that we live in Colorado, cute sweaters are just a normal outfit staple. And I’m psyched!

  5. ALL the leggings that life has to offer
Seriously, ignore all that bunk about how they aren’t pants. You’re pregnant, and they’re pants. They even make these cool support style ones that support the weight of your belly. They aren’t cheap, so invest early so you get your money’s worth out of them. (Also, you could probably apply your Nordstrom coupon from Groupon to them.) 😉
    Maternity Must Haves

In my final weeks of this here third pregnancy, these are the items that I would recommend to the moms to be in my life. They are my tried and true maternity staples and Groupon Coupons are one of many ways you can save on the items you already love!

Have you ever used Groupon to shop at stores that your already love?!

I love Groupon! When I get on the app I usually spend 45 minutes just looking at stuff I know I don’t need. haha I am team no pants on my second pregnancy. The pressure down low is no fun. I hope your delivery goes smoothly!

My husband got me the BEST pair of maternity leggings for mother’s day this year. They had an adjustable waist so I could wear them in any stage of pregnancy and postpartum!

This list is on point. Pregnancy is so uncomfortable by the end, you need comfort and ease of wearing!
