YOU GUYS! The weather in Denver right now is beyond perfect. I am currently sitting outside of Starbucks at one of their little tables on a busy city street in a sundress and jean jacket NOT sweating, my hair is NOT frizzy from the humidity, and I am neither hot nor cold. Perfection.
If you hang around my corner of the internet at all, you now that I normally reside in sunny (and humid) Florida. And while the Sunshine State has it’s perks, it’s basically just the torrential downpour state all summer long. Denver has been a nice change of pace as it approaches autumn and all of the gloriousness that that entails.
Hubby and I are here without the kids for just a few days, and it is almost weird to explore without them. Josh and I are averaging about one trip a year sans kiddos, and it’s always nice to indulge in some one on one time. I didn’t even have to buy anyone a cookie with my coffee. 😉 (Secretly missing them like crazy though.)
All of this alone time has me thinking about all of the self care and pampering we as mothers tend to go without. It seems like every time that I have some spare time (ha) or spare cash (HA) I opt to spend it on my kids. I know that I am not alone in this mommas. I see you.
We are told over and over that “you can’t pour from an empty cup.” A lesson in self care to moms everywhere. And yet, we always try. When I finally get a chance to recharge and pamper myself a bit (or even just hang out with my husband alone for a couple days,) I am reminded how little I actually do it. That’s why I was so excited to learn about all of the different Health, Beauty & Wellness Groupons available! Spas, salons, and pampering galore! And all in your local area. It’s a great way to find opportunities to “fill up” that empty cup.
I have used Groupon for years, honestly. I’ve purchased $10 Starbucks gift cards for $5. Like, what?! The variety of deals is pretty crazy, and I am pretty excited for the future pampering opportunities that I will definitely be taking advantage of.
Have you ever used Groupon?!
I love Groupon! I get lost in all the offers, I could spend hours looking at the goods and vacations. Thanks for sharing! I hope your trip was rejuvenating!

I use Groupon for a lot of my self care needs. I just bought one for a Pilates studio. Gotta make self care a priority! Being a mama just means we have to be more creative! Enjoy Denver!

I love Groupon, but I have a tendency to forget about the groupons I purchase and then have to rush to use them before they expire…

Oh yes, the battle for self-care is real and one that’s worth winning! Nice job getting away with your husband and “forgetting” the kids at home. My husband and I always feel weird when our daughter is with grandparents; we get out of the car and think, “This is too easy…what are we forgetting!?” Haha, I hope you loved your trip and got some rest!
