It is not everyday that you get a trend that is simultaneously fashionable and extremely comfortable. But as of right now, the boyfriend jean is it!
I’m pretty much obsessed. Why did women wait so long to make these a thing?! There are so many different ways you can wear them. People dress them up with blazers and heels, or dress them down with baggy shirts and sandals. I do all of the above, yes please.
This particular pair of jeans is from Target, and I even bought them a size too big, because that doesn’t even break any boyfriend jean rules, they’re already baggy. Somehow even the heels seem more comfortable in the baggy jeans. Ha! (I scored these for $12 at Target) But I won’t lie to you, expensive heels always feel better.
My blazer is from Kohls. I extra love the little ruffle on the back. It makes it more girly and gives it a little extra something.
Boyfriend jeans also go great with third day hair/second day waves. 😉 My curling wand has me seriously considering growing my hair out again. The hotter months in Florida can be hard to endure when you can’t fit all of your hair up in a messy bun.
My sweet husband always takes it upon himself to become extremely funny when I’m making him act like an Instagram husband. It definitely lightens the mood, because lets face it taking pictures of your outfit feels awkward sometimes, but it results in many unusable photos because I’m always laughing. But I’m totally not complaining.
It’s funny that this trend has come about because, when I was pregnant I would steal my (not yet at the time) hubby’s jeans. Not only because that were more accommodating of my newly planet shaped body than my tight hip hugging denim, but because they were so comfortable! I don’t know what it is, but I’m loving this trend. I’m having fun pairing them with different styles and shoes and seeing what I come up with.
How do you feel about the boyfriend jean trend? Do you love them as much as I do?
