I am 100% in love with all of this “cold” weather here in Florida. 100%. There is nothing like leaving the sliding glass doors and windows open all day! Also, all of my leftover Christmas candles smell so good with the crisp air…and they smell just as good after Christmas! 😉
Zoeygirl thinks this weather is just perfect for all this bike riding. She’s also positively in love with her princess helmet. Hurray for that, it’s always a fight to get Jace to wear one! Speaking of Jace, he thinks that this weather is perfect for video games. Hence his absence from my photos. #typical
Today it was around 75 mid afternoon, perfect for Frozen-biking. Obvi. She’s so proud of herself, and she truly is pretty good. haha. It definitely took her brother longer to get a hang of things when he was younger. This morning however, it was like in the 50s outside. I knew it would warm up a bit, so I decided to give this shorts and tights trend a go.
It might have looked even better with a pair of heeled booties that I have, but if I’m being real, I was feeling too lazy for heels today. haha! I’m so glad it’s finally cold enough to make use of all of my booties! I haven’t worn these babies since we got home from Germany. Let’s not talking about Germany though…I’m wanderlusting something fierce lately. You too?? But, this trend is sort of perfect for this thing we call winter here in Florida. Shorts, but with a side of weather under 70 degrees. 😉
Most of the Pinterest pics that I saw were black tights. So obviously I opted for red. A.)Dare to be different, you might like it. and B.) I don’t even own black tights. haha! I bought these ones for a wedding over a year ago and I’ve only worn them once. I still think the pattern on them is pretty cool. 🙂
On a completely unrelated note… we bought a new couch the other day. Total Craigslist score. I’m loving it. So of course, I stopped by Lowes and bought paint so that it would match my walls better. haha! I’m not totally crazy… I’ve been wanting to repaint my walls since the first time we painted them 5 years ago and I hated the color. Here’s to hoping I’ve chosen more wisely this time around! I literally painted a big splotch on EVERY wall and left it there for TWO days to make sure I liked the color before I bought enough to paint the house. Wish me luck!
