I lead a pretty eventful life. I’m not trying to imply that all of the things that I do are interesting or exciting by any means…but I sure do a lot of things. Quite frankly, I impress myself sometimes…and I wonder why I’m not skinnier ALL the time. 😉
Between work and school I usually don’t have “days off,” sometimes literally for months at a time. It’s cool, I’m totally not asking for pity, I can handle it…but it makes for a crazy busy life. I also hate the idea of my kids just sitting around in the house all the time, so I make a conscious effort to take them somewhere fun at least twice a week. Fun and usually free… like the park or beach.
BUT I am an awkward person, and the many many MANY things that I have the opportunity to do provide for many awkward or awesome happenings. So here’s what’s new with me lately…
A W E S O M E
+ I finished my Summer semester. Hallelujah! ONE full time semester left in my entire collage career. Well, unless I pursue grad school.
+ ALLLLLL of the End-of-Summer Sales! Um? Last time I checked it was mostly endless summer here in FL… $7 shorts and sandals are wearable even in the “Fall.” Shhhh…. don’t tell the retail world, apparently they haven’t gotten the memo and they still try and shuffle all of the “summer” inventory out in August.
+ I bought some of those famous Colour Pop Cosmetics. They’re awesome. Gotta love when $5 cosmetics are actually kind of awesome.
+ I’ve been binge watching all of the shows that I don’t have time for when I have school! Don’t make me explain why this is awesome.
+ Jace starts VPK in a couple weeks… not entirely sure whether to file this under “awesome” or the worst thing to happen to me ever yet. He thinks it’s great though.
A W K W A R D
+ Zoey hasn’t been sleeping through the night lately. The other night she came to lay down in bed with me while I was still up (aforementioned being watching.) There was a fly in room and she says “MOM bug in your room.” Wide eyes. “He’s hungry…he’s here for your lunch!”
+ I sat on a public toilet that had just been cleaned… seat was still up. That’s always awesome. -_-
+ Used my kids for one of my final presentations at school. In itself not really “awkward” but… I hate presentations and in a room full of people who assume I’m like 22 with no kids I always get some surprised looks when I show pictures of my almost 5 year old. Then everyone assumes I’m 40.
+ I just called Jace, “Josh.” And since almost 5 year olds are in the business of correcting Mom at every turn… he’s been going on about it for about ten minutes now.
What’s new and exciting with you?
